But...why?


"Life's rejection is God's protection" is a quote that only has five words but the meaning and impact behind these words are HUGE. Another quote that I remember what one of my niece's wrote "If I can't have what I want, then God please let me want what I have" is another deep quote which requires alot of praying and searching within yourself.

We're human...we have a selfish nature that wants instead of only taking what is required regardless if its food, clothes, material things..and in some cases...other people.

There are times when all we can focus on is the wants to where it becomes obsessive that it picks at your brain..picks at your thoughts..tugs viciously at your heart to have it become tempting to where your soul craves the release and gratification of having what you want...and you give in to whatever or whoever has been tempting your senses to blindness...

Yet, God see's the big picture and will gently tell you "No" because He already see's the heartache.

See, this is the blessing that God gave each and everyone of us... free will...

Some believe in pre-destination that our lives are already mapped out for us, however, if that was the case...then God might as well have created robots.

But, He didn't...He created man in His own image and gave man the freedom to choose, which it didn't take long for man to choose unwisely.

God loves us so much that He is the God of many chances....He prepared a path of redemption for all of us that when we screw up, laying flat out on our backs, gasping for air as we cry "why, why, why" God will take us by the hand, help us up, guide us in the right direction, push us gently forward, and allow us to continue on our merry way with scrapes and bruises...

Do we learn? Sometimes, yes...majority of the time..no

This is why it is important to meditate on the Word of God...

"...whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you." Phillipians 4:8-9 NIV

If we remove anything that will bring us down or harden our hearts, our hearts will be open and receptive to the will of God, the teachings, the lessons, and the admonishments.

Is it easy? No, it is never easy. No one ever said that serving and focusing on God is easy because we are sinners by birth...but we strive to reach the goal...

"Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already been made perfect, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. All of us who are mature should take such a view of things. And if on some point you think differently, that too God will make clear to you. Only let us live up to what we have already attained.

Join with others in following my example, brothers, and take note of those who live according to the pattern we gave you. For, as I have often told you before and now say again even with tears, many live as enemies of the cross of Christ. Their destiny is destruction, their god is their stomach, and their glory is in their shame. Their mind is on earthly things. But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body.


Therefore, my brothers, you whom I love and long for, my joy and crown, that is how you should stand firm in the Lord, dear friends! -Phillipians 3:12-4:1 NIV


So, the next time we are rejected or we ask God why we could not get what we wanted? Let's take it prayer and ask God to help because what He eventually blesses us with is something or someone way more than we ever could imagine...
